What do I do if my window is off the monitor screen?

At times, it appears that BrDR locks up because a window is opened that is a modal dialog window (i.e. one that freezes the rest of the program until the user responds) and the window is also off the physical screen. To the user, it just looks like the program has locked up, but more likely, a window is located just off the viewable monitor area. This can happen when a user has multiple monitors and switches from multiple monitor mode to a single monitor (like a laptop screen).

To try and locate the window, do the following as soon as it appears the window has locked:

Click the Alt+space bar key.

You should get the following pulldown menu, somewhere on your screen.

Open

Using the up-down arrow keys, select ‘Move’ and hit ‘Enter’. Now use your left-right arrow keys to move the window. You may have to hold down the left arrow key and if the window doesn’t appear, hold down the right arrow key. The window will eventually appear on your screen.
